Early in His ministry, Jesus revealed what would come to be called His rescue manifesto. Central to that process is Jesus’ signature brand of compassion, articulated first in His Sermon on the Mount, then at his hometown synagogue in Nazareth. In this teaching session at the First Presbyterian Church in Longview, Texas in 2007, Doug Greenwold examines contextually one of the most paradigm shattering experiences his disciples would encounter as Jesus demonstrates how that compassion is put into practice, establishing a trait that would come to define Christ followers for centuries to come.
