In I Samuel 16, God directs Samuel to anoint David to be the future king of Israel. If we had been David and God had given us a preview into what the next ten years would bring, our reaction might have been: “That’s not an appropriate career development plan for a king! And I’m not sure I want to sign up for that kind of journey.” If that thought intrigues you as you ponder God’s plans for your life, I think you will find this video Reflection …of David on the run for ten years …fascinating!
“Sheepology” …with Doug Greenwold
A.W. Tozer felt that the most important thing about a person was their view of God. That view shapes everything about that person as well as their faith journey. Unfortunately, most of us have either a flawed or an incomplete view of God. This video entitled “The Importance of a Sheepish Perspective” suggests a key perspective that will help you refine your view of God as well as have a more accurate view of yourself. It was presented at the 2018 Institute of Biblical Context Annual Summer Conference on “Shepherds, Flocks and Kings” and is the first of many videos we plan to be adding to the PBT website.
